We followed one of our very own employees, Adriana, as she explored Croatia on a Clymb Adventure with her friends. Check out our quick interview:
A group of friends and I picked Croatia because we wanted to find a place that was a bit more off the beaten ‘tourist’ path. We couldn’t resist the allure of the stunningly beautiful Adriatic coastline, and we were intrigued by the country’s captivating history.
What made the trip so special?
We had the opportunity to see and experience so many facets of Croatia. From the farmlands on the island of Sipan, to the old world city of Dubrovnik, we were able to truly immerse ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty and warm culture of this incredible country.
What were your packing essentials?
Because the weather was so temperate while we were there, my packing list was pretty minimal. Must-haves included a swimsuit, Chacos, boardshorts, sunscreen, pack towel, and a nice lightweight long sleeve sun shirt. For adventures on land I brought a comfortable pair of light hiking shoes, sunglasses, Hydrakpak Stash water bottle, hiking shorts, and my favorite CIRQ lightweight insulated jacket.
Tell us about your guides
Our captain, Jacques, and our guide, Luka, were so much fun! They were extremely knowledgeable and took great pride in sharing their favorite places with us. They also took wonderful care of our group and made sure we all had a unique and unforgettable experience.
Where do you want to go next?
I would love my next adventure to be a cycling trip through Europe. With that said, traveling on organized trips alongside a local guide has given me added confidence — so much so that I can’t think of anywhere I wouldn’t love to explore!
