Fresh on the menu today:

IPATH: Founded in San Francisco in 1998 by a group of style-conscious skateboarders with a simple aesthetic and eco-minded approach to design, IPATH is a unique lifestyle brand that embodies the soulful and creative aspects of skateboarding. In an effort to reduce its impact, the company follows environmentally friendly production and shipping practices, including using water-based glues, recycled boxes, soy inks, organic cotton, hemp and canvas materials, and more. Columbia Watches: Columbia Sportswear enables outdoor adventure anywhere you like to play. Highlights in this collection of the company’s performance and everyday watches include the sleekly designed Transit and the Ravenous, which, with 100-hour chronograph and hydration alarm, is the perfect tool for ultra-marathoners. Skratch Labs: When sport scientist and professional cycling team coach Allen Lim noticed that his athletes were getting sick from ingesting sports fuel loaded with artificial ingredients, he did the only thing he could think of, started making his own—from scratch. His creations were so effective and popular he began selling them. Skratch Labs exercise hydration mix was developed and tested in the field with athletes competing in races like the Tour de France. Loaded with electrolytes and sodium and flavored with actual fruit, these all-natural mixes offer hydration without the artificially sweetened energy-drink hangover. Skratch Labs is an up-and-coming company based in Boulder, CO. Click through now to see what all the buzz is about.

Oregon Trail: Did you know? On May 22 (that’s today!) 1843, a massive wagon train consisting of over 1,000 settlers and as many heads of cattle departed Missouri for Oregon. Their journey, known as the “Mass Emigration,” was not the first to hit the Oregon Trail but at the time was the biggest. The team arrived in Oregon after five months. And for fans of the popular Oregon Trail computer game, yes, some of the settlers did actually die of dysentery.
