Nothing tells the tale of an epic adventure like the state of your gear when it’s over. If your gear could talk, which piece would have us listening with rapt attention? What has seen the most travels, crossed the most miles, and shared the most memories?

Share a pic of that gear and tell us in 50 words or less (Hey, your gear is doing most of the talking here!) why this gear has seen it all. You can post the pic to our Facebook wall, email it to contests@theclymb.com, or tag us on Instagram (#TheClymb). We’ll pick three winners for Clymb credit.

And trust us: With the Black Friday event we have planned for you, you’ll appreciate the credit. You have until tomorrow at 5pm EDT to get your pics in.

We did it! The Clymb has reached one million members (and counting!) and it’s thanks to YOU!

Congratulations to our one millionth member, Mike DeVanzo! Mike will receive $1,000 in Clymb credit which should go a long way in fueling his future human-powered adventures. Mike was referred to us by Alex Piazza, who will also receive $1,000 in Clymb credit.

Just because we’ve reached a million, that doesn’t mean the celebration ends. Starting today, we’re offering free shipping for the weekend (through Sunday, March 4th) to show our appreciation.

And just in time for free shipping today’s events offer up some of the best in outerwear, helmets, and eyewear:

KLYMIT returns to The Clymb with their noble gas-based insulated outerwear, hardshells, and ultra-light softshells for men and women. Also, VAUDE bike outerwear and accessories are high quality and sure to perform under any condition. Finally, the iconic uvex brings their optimum fit and protection to The Clymb with a selection of bike helmets and eyewear.

Remember, from now through Sunday, you get FREE shipping on these and all the other events currently featured on The Clymb.

In case you missed it on Facebook, Clymb member Stacy Lamb made her local news talking about an all-night Climbathon to benefit the Ronald McDonald house. That’s Stacy rocking a The Clymb t‑shirt. If you’d like to donate, you can find more info here.

Of course, you can pick up your very own The Clymb t‑shirt here.

Also Featured This Week:

Angie Ripple, Lucky Clymber

Put Your Feet First With Bogs, Plus OllyDog

Joshua Montague, Every Day Clymber

SCOTT, Gregory, Teko, Plus a Goggles & Gloves Event

After hundreds of events featuring dozens of the best brands for outdoor gear and apparel, The Clymb is approaching its one millionth member. There is a lot of excitement and pride surrounding this milestone, but also gratitude. You’ve allowed us to accompany you on thousands of human-powered adventures all over the world.

As a token of our appreciation — and because it’s going to be a lot of fun — we’re going to award the one millionth member $1,000 in Clymb credit. Also, because we wouldn’t have reached this great accomplishment without the support of our members and their enthusiasm in spreading the word about The Clymb, we’re going to award the person who refers the one millionth member $1,000 in Clymb credit as well!

For all the details, visit the official rules page here.

From now until we reach our millionth member we’ll have fun games worth Clymb credit and awesome features from some of our current members, and of course, our daily events bringing you the brands you love.

The deadline to submit your photos into our “I Wish I Was There” contest has passed and all submissions are now available for viewing on our Facebook page. We want to give a sincere thank you to all the entrants. This began as a fun Facebook contest, but it has evolved into a truly inspirational experience with other members and Facebook fans in absolute awe of all the adventures you’ve embarked on. We are honored that you shared these memories with us.

We received an unprecedented number of entries and we had to limit each person to 2–3 photographs per category. It seems a shame to pit them against each other, yet we must. Here’s how we’ll do it:

Over the next few days our team at The Clymb will narrow down each category (action and landscape) to ten finalists. We’ll then put the power in your hands, allowing you to vote on the photo in each category that you find the most breathtaking, the photo that most makes you say, “I wish I was there!”

When the voting period ends, the photo in each category with the most votes will win $50 to The Clymb. That’s right: We’ve increased the prize amount. We had to; those photos are stunning!

In the meantime, we encourage you to peruse each folder on our Facebook wall and take in all the beauty. If you have a photo in the running, please feel free to comment on it with further details. We’d love to hear the story behind such fascinating pics.

I Wish I Was There Photos — Landscape | I Wish I Was There Photos — Action

One of many gorgeous entries. — Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia by Clement Laksana

Thanks to everyone who entered our Your Gear in Action photo contest. Over 40 photos were submitted, all displaying Clymb-purchased gear in action. They were all great and much appreciated, but you know the saying, “There can only be one.” Well, in this case, three — three members have won a $50 credit to The Clymb. And they are:

Erica Donnelly in prAna

Jon Husen in Giro

And.…

Chris Lynn in KEEN

Congratulations, guys! Please email me with your email addresses (the one you use for your Clymb accounts) so I can award your $50 credits! Send them to nina@theclymb.com

Thanks to everyone who submitted. We enjoyed sharing in your adventures.

We want to see the gear you’ve purchased in action. Submit a photo of you (or someone else) using gear or apparel purchased from The Clymb and you’re automatically entered for a chance to win one of three $50 credits to The Clymb.

Whether you’re rocking Reef sandals, turning back a SIGG bottle on a hike, or sailing down the slopes on a Jones board, we wanna see it. You can post your photo with a caption on our Facebook page or email them to me at nina@theclymb.com. I’m gathering the entries and displaying them in their own album on our Facebook page — look for that later today.

We’ll pick our favorite three this Friday (5/20) and award the winners then.

Be creative, but more importantly, have fun! And if you need a membership, hit me up via Facebook or Twitter.

It has happened to all of us; there’s an amazing deal on a pair of hiking boots or backpack on The Clymb, and we want to pass it along to everyone we know. First you gotta copy the link, then you gotta paste it in an email, and on Facebook, then on Twitter. Then you have to copy your invite code and send it to those friends who’ve not yet discovered the awesomeness that is The Clymb.

It’s annoying.

We’ve made it so much easier for you to share the great deals you find here. Each sale item now has a share button for Facebook and Twitter on its page.

With one click you can post the sale details for individual items on your Facebook wall or on Twitter. Friends can click and shop, or sign up if they’re not yet members, and you’ll still get the referral credit when they place their first order. Easy peasy.

Today we are proud to announce our  brand event with Horny Toad, you can save between 60–65% off everything in the event! The event runs for three days and will end Thursday morning at 9am PST. As per usual we get to share a video that we think shows off the brand and is entertaining/useful to our members. For Horny Toad they made a company dance video. Yes… A company dance video. Awesome? Yes. Fun? No doubt. Is it making us limber up to make one of our own? I wouldn’t go that far yet. Although I heard Kelly does a mean running man. (Personally I prefer the cabbage patch.)

Like it says in the video description, “Work hard, play hard, create something special.”

As always you need to be a member of the Clymb, if you would like an invite to the event you can Tweet us or let us know on Facebook.
