Surfing in the US… most of us think Southern California, Hawaii, Oregon even, but Texas? Probably not. Evan Adamson hopes you’ll think differently. Surfers on Texas’ Gulf Coast have taken to the laid back swell with wetsuits and longboards, forgoing America’s usual coasts. In this video, the director takes a regular day of surfing with friends, and crafts it into a unique film that sheds light on a vibrant surf culture in an unsuspecting place.
Two insane longboarders dressed in fancy blue suits come tearing down the road at speeds over 60 miles per hour! If that’s not crazy enough, they are filming it themselves, passing the camera back and forth as they come bombing down the street.
Whatever the reason, one of the answers has to be fun, because that’s clearly what is being had by Noah Sakamoto and Patrick Rizzo in Claremont, a short film by Adam Kimmel.
