Earlier this year, we wrote about some adventurous souls who were traveling the Pacific Crest Trail. Now, we’re completely blown away by one man’s mission to run the PCT in an effort to bring attention to the devastating effects of neurological diseases.

Sam Fox was inspired by his mother Lucy, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease a decade ago. A highly-trained and experienced athlete, Fox created the Run While You Can Foundation and is currently attempting this amazing journey with the generosity and support of the Boisi Family Foundation and corporate sponsors. While his efforts are dedicated to his mother, all proceeds will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

You can help too by running a portion of the trail with Sam, hauling equipment of the documentary crew capturing the experience, donating much needed supplies to cache points, or organizing your own fundraising efforts.
