Here are the Tweets we were happy to see in our stream this past week:
- From Bike Portland, a wonderful story about a 7‑year-old who started a fundraiser to provide helmets for the littlest cyclists in need.
- Amgen Tour adds a women’s time trial. Another step in support of women cyclists. Thanks to Cycling News Feed for bringing us that story.
- And the folks at Wend Magazine turned us on to this cool new ParkFinder app.
That should definitely come in handy this week (4/16–4/24) during National Park Week when admission to all U.S. National Parks is free.
National Park Week 2011 kicks off tomorrow. From April 16th to April 24th, admission to all 394 U.S. national parks will be free! Their theme for this year is Healthy People, Health Parks, designed to show the connection between a healthy lifestyle and a health environment and how national parks play a role.
During the week, park partners will offer discounts on food, lodging, tours and souvenirs and communities near the national parks are offering up deals as well.
