Baby, You’re So Nice: Did you know? On Octo­ber 20th (that’s today!), 1984, Phil Ersh­ler, one of the world’s most renowned climbers, became the first Amer­i­can to ascend the North aspect of Mount Ever­est. Ersh­ler bags peaks like most active peo­ple knock out day hikes. His tick list includes sum­mit­ing Mt. Rainier 400 times and sum­mit­ing Mt. Mckin­ley 25 times. He is rec­og­nized as one of only a hand­ful of climbers to have sum­mit­ed the high­est peaks on all sev­en con­ti­nents twice!
