The skate, snow, and surf cul­tures man­age to be unde­ni­ably unique yet linked, each leav­ing their own last­ing imprint on soci­ety. Often por­trayed in pop cul­ture as rebels, slack­ers, and trou­ble­mak­ers, ear­ly influ­encers of these move­ments have got­ten the last laugh – evolv­ing these cul­tures into inno­va­tors in ath­let­ics, music, and clothing.

SESSIONS would make the per­fect case study for such an evo­lu­tion. Open­ing the first ded­i­cat­ed snow­board shop in the Unit­ed States in the ear­ly 80’s — when snow­board­ers were still con­sid­ered per­sona non gra­ta at ski resorts with bungee-fas­tened boards on their feet – it has since grown into an inter­na­tion­al leader in action sports appar­el and tech­ni­cal outerwear.
