Here the humble champion of sport climbing Chris Sharma travels to Australia for his first time to tackle what’s often considered the continent’s best crag, The Grampians. The main feature of this national park in Victoria is a series of sandstone mountain ranges, and among those ranges the most famous among climbers is the glowing orange, overhanging cliff called Taipan Wall.
In this video Sharma tackles Taipan Wall’s hardest climb, Groove Train. It’s a striking line with run out protection high up on the wall. The result makes for some gutsy climbing up near the top where a fall is guaranteed to be a stomach-tossing whipper.
