IN OTHER NEWS:

Saddles to Saddles: Did you know? Brooks England has been building premium handcrafted leather bicycle saddles for nearly 150 years. The company got its start when founder John Boultbee Brooks, son of a manufacturer of horse saddles, bought himself a velocipede back in 1865. Finding the wood seat uncomfortable, the young entrepreneur went into his dad’s shop and built himself a saddle for his new toy. A year later, Brooks was in business manufacturing leather strapping for horse saddles and a variety of leather goods. As the velocipede evolved into the bicycle and popularity in the sport grew, Brooks began receiving more and more requests to build saddles for bicycles instead of horses. In 1882 the young entrepreneur patented the first sprung bicycle seat and never looked back. He went on to patent a multitude of leather bicycle goods including galoshes, handlebar muffs, cycling shoes, bags, and more. Don’t miss our collection of saddles and leather bags by the iconic brand. They won’t last long!
