Last week, after plenty of Facebook fan anticipation, Saucony revealed the details of their Find Your Strong Project. Inspired by the idea that we all get stronger when we run and share what motivates us, Saucony is encouraging people to share photos and videos that capture their “strong.” Community votes determine the best submissions, and winners will receive Saucony footwear.

In the first part of the project, Saucony calls on fans to submit close-ups of their “strong face” either before, during, or after a workout. Saucony hopes that the project will provide inspiration or a challenge for runners everywhere. View some of the early entries here.

Perhaps no event requires runners to find their strong more than The Boston Marathon. Saucony invites you to kick off the marathon this weekend with an evening of running inspiration. An all-star panel of athletes including Bill Rodgers, Mark Herzlich, and Karen Smyers will share stories of finding their strong against seemingly insurmountable odds. Are you going to be in town for the race? If so, the event takes place at The Boston Center for the Arts on Friday, April 13th at 6:30pm. Registration closes Thursday, April 12th.

You can find your strong in Saucony footwear in today’s men’s and women’s footwear events.

Like the beach boys said, “wouldn’t it be nice?” Nice to split winters between Alaska, Utah and Colorado, and spend summers shredding down in Chile. Video shoot in Switzerland? We’re there. Sure, we’d all like to ski all day and party all night like the pros, but for most of us, our addiction to powder means working like hell to fund the dream.

Surface Skis honors those of us who do whatever it takes to get max days on the mountain in their Working Class Heroes series – People like Doug Jambor who worked as a cook in the kitchen of a nearby resort for an entire season, eating for free, but barely scraping by so that he could ski, meet great people, and hit his first 100-day season. Doug, and others, are not only acknowledged, but they receive a sweet care package of Surface goodies to show their appreciation. For information or to submit to Working Class Heroes, click here.

And today you can make that hard earned dough go a little further with The Clymb hookup on Surface powder and all-mountain skis.

And, nestled deep in redwood trees, between the inspiration-heavy San Francisco and the innovation of Silicon Valley, Freewaters’ design studio gives life to sandals that challenge the industry norm and strive to perfect form, fit, and comfort. That solitude inspired the studio’s name, The Shaolin Temple.

But Freewaters doesn’t just take a no nonsense approach to designing footwear, they’re also committed to finding solutions for the global drinking water pandemic, doing their part to help provide fresh water to the people of the world who need it the most.

Freewaters’ Clymb debut features a selection of their slip-on sandals suitable for combing your local beach or an exotic locale.

Finally, trail and road ready footwear by New Balance, designed to reduce foot and body strain with ergonomically supportive design. Shop select styles for men and women here.
