A Monoplegic Rock Climber Dominates Life

Urko Car­mona start­ed rock climb­ing when he was 14 years old. Then, at the young age of 16 he lost his leg in a car acci­dent, but that didn’t stop him. Urko kept climb­ing, and start­ing log­ging incred­i­ble accom­plish­ments on the rock, but just as impres­sive as his climb­ing is his per­spec­tive. He took what would be a tragedy for most peo­ple, and turned it into a pos­i­tive expe­ri­ence. Just to reach the route in this video he needs to ford a riv­er, and he says get­ting back there with two legs is easy, but with one leg, now that’s an adventure.
