Party Hard, Ski Harder with Sean Pettit

A pro skier decides he wants to infuse the world of ski and snowboard films with a little Hollywood glam. Enter “Super Proof,” a pet project of pro skier Sean Pettit, alongside cinemetographer Brandon Kelly and editor Leigh Powis.

As if his plate weren’t full enough with multiple ski movie segments and shooting with Red Bull TV, Sean Pettit decided that this would be the season that his idea, Super Proof, would come to fruition. His mission is one we’ve seen before: to reimagine the conventional ski film by adding a new twist. Super Proof’s secret ingredient is finally revealed in its first official video launch, “Learn to Fly”, featuring none other than Mr. Pettit himself.

Part “Wolf of Wall Street”, part classic (albeit spectacular) ski shots, the Super Proof approach is definitely new. Does it work? Does it feel forced? It’ll be worth comparing this first launch to the rest of the series, which will be dropped throughout the 2014 season.
